Ireland claimed the 2008 APAT title.

Ireland won the team championship APAT 2008 with team in full as follows: Colin OPrey, Brendan Byrne, Jonh Murray, Pat O Callaghan and captain Len Collin. Scotland took second place, leving Germany with the bronze. The German team in full was: Thomas Schaaf, Jurgen Bachmann, Silke Burghardt and Jan Schwarz. The Germans got 19 points after the first day and that sent them to 4th place after the sit and go round. A Multy table tournament was planned for the second day. Jan Schwarz was the first German to be beaten, going all in with KQ and getting called by PAT O Callaghan with pocket 66. The other german players lost all ins with AK, AK and A9 respectively. With a total of 44 points Germany claimed the third place in the competition.
